2682270, Can you think of a weirder super-group than the Gravediggaz? Posted by T Reynolds, Thu Apr-05-12 03:35 PM
2 producers + 2 washed up rappers
horrorcore isn't crazy in and of itself but combined with the weird make-up of the group it's even more unique in Hip-Hop history
this is something that had to come about organically i'm sure there wasn't any label involvement
because how could a label think this idea could be an earner?

2682274, saafir, ahmad, and xzibit? Posted by Bblock, Thu Apr-05-12 03:55 PM
or ras kas, kurupt, killah priest, and pharoah monche

2682275, Golden State Warriors made sense. RE: saafir, ahmad, and xzibit? Posted by T Reynolds, Thu Apr-05-12 03:58 PM
Hold on I'm getting confused was it saafir, ras, and xzibit though?
They did that song "Plastic Surgery" off X's debut album
And all this hype about when they were gonna drop but it never happened
>or ras kas, kurupt, killah priest, and pharoah monche
^^ four horsemen?
yeah that was a little weirder
kurupt was never as good as people gave him credit for, lyrically
where they fuck did killah priest come from?
I can't remember none of his rhymes

You are right.. It was Ras Kass in the Warriors; however Ahmad did rock with the other 2 on a track from the live action Streetfighter OST.

2682276, it definitely wasn't label concocted.... Posted by apex, Thu Apr-05-12 04:02 PM

Paul kinda lays it out in that interview.... my only two cents here is that there was definitely a subliminal shot being thrown at Tommy Boy. Paul kinda dances around it in the interview. Of course I could be wrong. But I remember RZA saying something about how they were all ex-Tommy Boy artists that got screwed over by the label somehow. And that Gravegiggaz represents a rebuttal to those situations. Definitely weird though....you're right about that.

Maybe you, me, Mash (I think) and that's it. He can rap, he can produce and he's creative but he seems to have a hard time packaging it all together properly. _________________________________________ The Combat Jack Show is THE best hip-hop related internet radio show Catch up http://pncradio.tumblr.com/
