2681910, juicy by biggie and juicy by mtume
Posted by Bblock, Wed Apr-04-12 09:54 PM
walk this way by run dmc and walk this way by aerosmith
2682059, I don't hear the aerosmith one that much
Posted by k_orr, Thu Apr-05-12 10:06 AM
But the juicy one is a constant.
2681913, currently: The Motto into Rack City, or vice versa
Posted by KennyFresh, Wed Apr-04-12 09:57 PM
since they're essentially the exact same song & all.

2681915, In the Bay, hella DJs go Motto -> Mac Dre
Posted by stankpalmer, Wed Apr-04-12 09:58 PM
It doesn't work.
2681921, I fuck around with it a few ways, I do it in my mix in my sig
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Wed Apr-04-12 10:05 PM
Sometimes I play the hook from "Feelin myself" right along with Drake where you hear both songs at the same time, then just go straight back to Motto. Or either I'll be on a Bay set, drop the hook from feelin myself, and 3rd bar, mix in "Motto" and then start Motto from the start.

I'm sure it's already cliche up there
2681932, I think that's the best way to do it.
Posted by stankpalmer, Wed Apr-04-12 10:19 PM
Some folk just cut Motto off at that point, lol
2681920, Yep. I purposely don't play them back to back out here
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Wed Apr-04-12 10:04 PM
Still the two biggest songs, with "Up" being right there. But in L.A. it's 8-10 songs that are same exact BPM area that go almost as hard, so I can space them out
2681914, Bobby Caldwell into Common

50 Cent "I get money" to Junior M.A.F.I.A. "Get money"

Audio Two "Top billin" to 50 Cent "Get money"

Keyshia Cole "Let it go" to "Juicy"

"Poison" "It takes two" and Chubb Rock "Treat em right" all together. I've predicted this 3-4 times and it happened

Meek Mill "I'm a boss" to "House party"

Big Sean n Nicki "Dance (Ass)" to Rihanna "Birthday cake"

Junior Mafia "Get money" "Players anthem" Lil Kim "Crush on you" all back to back

"California Love" "Gin n Juice" maybe "Ain't no fun" or "2 of America's most wanted" in the same set

"BMF" and all the other Ross songs that sound the same..."9 Piece" "John Doe"
2682061, lol @ some of those
Posted by k_orr, Thu Apr-05-12 10:07 AM
2682357, Big Boi "Shutterbugg" into Soul II Soul "Back 2 Life"

2681986, Ante Up RMX-wish I could bring Pun back (echo)...
Posted by twoface2178, Thu Apr-05-12 12:58 AM
into Big Pun-It's So Hard

Cypress Hill-...Kill A Man into Redman-Time 4 Sum Aksion

112-It's Over Now into Mobb Deep/Lil Kim-Quiet Storm

Next-Wifey, Donell Jones-U Know What's Up, Koffee Brown-After Party, Montell Jordan-Get It On Tonight

2681998, I only heard that Ante up one once, didn't know it was done
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Thu Apr-05-12 03:48 AM
that much, but maybe it's more on the East Coast. Last time I was f'kin around with "GImmie the loot" I played Donell's hook real fast...."got ya momma sayin *it's so haaaaard* Yes love, love ya fuckin attitude"

I heard the Cypress to Redman once or twice. Never ever hear "It's over now" anywhere, even when it came out, aside from BET.

Along with the Wifey, you know what's up...the Ruff Endz"Whatever" and Jaheim "Just in case" which are all identical ass beats.
2681999, Ohhhh yeah...."Rebirth of slick" into E-40 "Yay area"
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Thu Apr-05-12 03:49 AM
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper played out

2682324, As of today, I predict....N'ggas in Paris and Kanye "Thera Flu"
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Thu Apr-05-12 05:33 PM
2682327, Don't hear it as much now, but using BEP "I'mma be" to go into Pop
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Thu Apr-05-12 05:40 PM
from Rap...sooooooo got damn cliche, since it starts 92 BPM and then transitions to the 130 BPM or whatever speed
2682333, Salt Shaker --> Get Low --> Yeah!
Posted by SoWhat, Thu Apr-05-12 05:56 PM
i heard 2 DJs do it in Vegas last month.

in 2012.

i was disappointed neither of them threw in 'Freek a Leak' or 'Goodies'.
2682334, Freek a Leek, Yeah, Goodies are toooooo cliche LOL
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Thu Apr-05-12 05:58 PM
2682339, all 5 of them are. might as well go all the way w/it.
Posted by SoWhat, Thu Apr-05-12 06:04 PM
especially since this was in Vegas.
2682347, Saltshaker is the most different only b/c it has that New Orleans Bounce
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Thu Apr-05-12 06:18 PM
feel to it.

Shit....you can even throw got damn Master P "Dem Jeans" in there LOL
2682336, This is one that I ONLY heard in Tallahassee, but Juvenile "400
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Thu Apr-05-12 06:00 PM
Degreez"....they would ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL do this...

*Start song with little spacey ass melody*
*Play 7 bars, then cut the music on 8th bar...let the crowd sing "If I ain't a hot boy, then what do you call that??"*
*Start back over by hitting cue button twice*
2682372, Thank God for House Music......
Posted by tully_blanchard, Thu Apr-05-12 07:26 PM
Everybody is always tryna break the new cuts/play shit different than erybody else, you dont run into this as much..

BUT!

If I do drop a hip-hop set, I'll play Scenario, and when it goes

"who's that? BROOOOWWWN!!!"

I drop the Scenario remix right there...

2682382, Sometimes I just jump straight to Busta's verse
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Thu Apr-05-12 08:11 PM
2686457, Next one will be N'ggas in Paris to Thera Flu
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Sun Apr-15-12 10:47 PM
2686504, The BPMs don't match tho
Posted by TheStandard, Mon Apr-16-12 03:17 AM
which is why I'd never do it...

I'm into blending and making things as smooth as possible...
2686506, It's 70 to 80, so you can speed Paris to 75-78
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Mon Apr-16-12 03:28 AM
And it's still close enough...I figure Paris would be first. You COULD blend it, but you know how most hype clubs are, they just drop it in there. It would go perfect after "And they goin gorillas....HUH??" and start right when they talk and maybe echo out "but it's provocative"
