and those ain't seeing no everyday people
no hot fun in the summertime
no family affair
no dance to the music.
you like alot of these purple turkeys on here don't know nothing about songwriting and it shows.
Sly Stone's songs are played as if they just came out yesterday and we are talking 40 plus year old songs.
Prince's hey day as a songwriter at best is from 82-86 and even that ain't seeing no Sly.
who is covering who in concert? last i checked Prince was still covering sly and the family stone live.
Prince ain't never wrote nothing special for an outside act that wasn't a protege.
he ain't got that kind of skills in him as a Songwriter.
the stuff he wrote for George Clinton,Mavis Staples, Larry Graham, Chaka Khan, was cute at best.
nothing memorable for an act not associated in directly with him.
