As much as I love Jay Dee (and I'm tempted to flood this post with his best moments), it's DJ Premier that baffles me the most with the sheer ridiculousness of his sampling.
In an interview with DJ Revolution, he talked about his digging methods, which are pretty much as strange as his flips.
"One day I might just limit myself to the "C" section of a genre, because that's the first letter of my first name."
