is that he just puts his shit out the way he likes it without giving much of a shit about what's relevant or in. Now that's not to say that I like him exclusively for that reason, but there's something to the honesty in his music. And, most of all, he doesn't ever sound grumpy. A lot of rappers and producers that started in the era where he began are sounding like they can't cope with the fact that their sound isn't relevant anymore, and insist that music today isn't as good as it used to be. Not to name any names or anything, but a lot of the heroes of yesterday are sounding more grumpy than energetic, and have lost their touch as a result.
