she's been on the record as a big rap music fan since well.....the part I already mentioned about painting a 'Public Enemy' logo on the side of her head as a show of solidarity in her first American TV appearance in 1987 or '88 Grammies (the one Fresh Prince/PE/etc boycotted for the fact that the rap award wasn't televised).
Going on later to publically protest on behalf of 2 Live Crew during their obscenity scandal, playing 'Dead Homies' by Cube as her lights-go-down-song prior to coming out to shows back in the day, etc.
