And I was actually playing Doggystyle when this thread popped up and I want to just add that that album is overrated as well.

It was cool when I was 12 but listening to it at 30 really doesn't do much.

Obviously there is the nostalgia but the rhymes are very immature and basic.

Snoop has great delivery and voice and that's about it.

His rhyme patterns are elementary, his lyrics are borderline corny at times, and his topics are childish.

Like I said, cool when I was 12, but Aint No Fun doesn't really work for me at 30 .

And that's not to say that I need some type of education or maturity in all my music, but there is a line at some point.

Common just has some really great songs and verses and he has something to say and I appreciate that a lot more than a story like Lodi Dodi at this point in my life.
