if your composite was skewed towards magazines like
rolling stone, spin, and other folks that don't deal with
hip hop exlusively, then sure.

b/c snoop broke pop in a way that few artists have.

but if the composite was skewed towards backpackers,
or folks that dig lyrics more than beats,
it might look different.

you asked a shit load of rappers who the best rapper was,
they might not go w/ snoop.
it might lean towards rakim or something.

now i will admit that for the the type of composite poll you're talking about, snoop would do really well.
because there are more publications from folks like rolling stone
and spin than there are "in-depth" hip hop magazine.

so if rap doesn't break pop... it kind of doesn't
exist for them.

but still, it depends on who's making the list.
