like... he was trying to stay "in the pocket."

but hendrix was so out there
that his conceptualization of "normal" was so far out there
that it sounded nowhere near "normal."


and i don't mind those records...
but it don't sound right.

i liked it better when the drummer had more of a jazz feel.
it suited him better, i think.
