Raydio was a funky funky band with some talented brothers in the band..

But they had lots of jams on multiple albums.

Ray as a solo artist kind of got locked into a softer sounds....but he had his jams too.... Really the Raydio years were solid musically for him...again another band/artist of the era of "BALANCED" albums....hitting you with funky dance type of tracks....ballads ...and mid-tempo joints.... The album formula of that era really highlighted the talents and versatility of artists like this...and kept them on a certain competative edge....
