when's the last time you heard 10/4 and 21/6 measures in this type of music? come think of it...which R&B (for lack of a better term) artist would have the balls to do so after being away for so long!
Besides an artist like Van Hunt or Bilal who takes chances like this?
I mean it would be easier to pull a Brown Sugar type song.
Tthe current marketplace does not want these kind of songs...they would rather have Brown Sugar allover cuz Voodoo was all about "How Does It Feel" and not about the album as a whole, at least not for the "general public"!
Like it or not but that album changed the game for ALOT of artists!
