Some thoughts:

- Puff picking up Stevie J and working with Tim/Missy/Ginuwine after the whole Jodeci thing fell thru had to piss off DeVante. Why couldn't Puff through DeVante a track or two to produce on those Carl Thomas / Total / 112 albums? Seems that once Puff was fired from Uptown, he really didn't mess with them except for MJB years down the line. Could working with Suge have soured Puff's relationship with DeVante?

- Watching the old stuff by Father MC makes me laugh as DeVante was singing lead with K-Ci and was pretty good (i laugh because he was a bigger star than them at one point). A shame his personality did not give him the courage to do a solo album or sing more lead.

- Funny how the same company that gave De a label deal signed Missy; no bad blood, I see.

- After the Bassment break-up, DeVante tried to make a comeback and had a new crew - Flo-Rida said as much as he learned from DeVante for a time and then got a deal. Seems that DeVante learned his lesson by working with people who would later leave him.
