2642644, This better not be that snippet from a year ago that had me waiting Posted by Gemini_Two_One, Fri Dec-23-11 04:27 PM
all damn year for that album! Seriously, I am really looking forward to that album.

lol it is the same snippet

2642812, Damnit! I knew it was from 2010. Posted by Gemini_Two_One, Sat Dec-24-11 03:21 PM
I was about to get hyped again. ------------------------------------------------------- "everybody's afraid to say that it just sucks to watch talented motherfuckers pretending they sell drugs" El-P

2642646, This has the potential.. Posted by Original Juice, Fri Dec-23-11 04:31 PM
..to be the new Amerikkka's Most.
A modern-day Ice Cube paired with the one-man Bomb Squad
Maybe not THAT serious, but you get the idea.
Can't wait.

2642674, El has apparently strayed from that sound. Posted by TheBigThyme, Fri Dec-23-11 06:07 PM
Especially parts of Megamixx 3 and this snippet, it's more of a minimalist b-boy sound. I'm looking forward to this project, just to see what kind of dope shit El does with this. The third beat on Meanstreak is and will always be sick as fuck.
|
2642677, Huh?#*#%$#@... wtf? Posted by thebadnegro, Fri Dec-23-11 06:56 PM
now THAT is some shit outta left field... some welcome shit outta left field.
if that snippet is any indicator of what's to come... I'M FUCKIN AMPED!
this is exactly the type of bitchslapping that hip hop needs right now.

2642710, If El-P is RAPPING on every track then good Posted by Adwhizz, Fri Dec-23-11 11:44 PM
|
2642721, This seems extremely random Posted by Goose, Sat Dec-24-11 02:57 AM
but also seems like it would work.this is an early 2012 most anticipated album for sure.
|
2642739, My expectations for this are incredibly high Posted by Stevie Lee, Sat Dec-24-11 09:27 AM
|
2642757, Its long overdue for El to work with an MC like this Posted by L.E.S., Sat Dec-24-11 11:04 AM
for a whole project. someone not from NY or considered underground.
Who knows, maybe T.I. or Andre or Big Boi get on a track? that'd be dope.
The Cold Vein is still my favorite work by El, and that's not to say I don't like him as an MC, I do, but I like what his beats bring out in others more so.
|
2642764, I wouldn't care to hear that Posted by Boximus Crime, Sat Dec-24-11 11:32 AM
I would like the focus to stay on Killer Mike.
|
2642814, I'm expecting at least one surprising guest Posted by simpsycho, Sat Dec-24-11 03:34 PM
El-P tweeted a while ago about working with a rapper that he never expected to hear over one of his beats; I believe it's on this album.
|
2642809, damn...this could be like the 2012 "hip-hop" with that sound. Posted by k0la, Sat Dec-24-11 03:15 PM
this sounds so uncut...can't wait for this album to drop. killer mike always prevails, and i've been an el-p fan too.
this will be great.

2674514, RE: El-P and Killer Mike are doing a whole album Posted by WBA18, Fri Mar-16-12 04:12 PM
Got to love a bit of EL-P. The darker/deeper themes of his music has really grown on me over time, he's really quite unique.

3 of 3. this album is gonna be a problem.
|
2680834, 10 seconds in...already dope. Posted by k0la, Mon Apr-02-12 07:22 PM
this album is going to be so crazy. i'm not a HUGE fan of el as an emcee, but hearing killer mike wreck some producto production is too good. and el-p's progression from coflow has been incredible. or indelible, guess i should say.
|
2680616, Perhaps the start of El-P working with more "mainstream" rappers? Posted by CMcMurtry, Mon Apr-02-12 12:14 PM
https://twitter.com/#!/therealelp/status/185589552222715904
Though I imagine me and maybe two other dudes would be the only ones stoked for that collabo.
|
2680632, i always felt El had a "big" sound Posted by astralblak, Mon Apr-02-12 12:32 PM
that would compliment a lot of the street rappers very well, but because of that bullshit schizm created between conscious/underground vs street/mainstream from 98-05, certain folks who could've branched out/up became land locked.
|
2680710, folks sleep here slept on pl3dge Posted by bucknchange, Mon Apr-02-12 03:23 PM
he's about to drop another gem. he's build he's brand outside of grand hustle while being ON grand hustle
|
2680714, Pledge was album of the year that shit was his best overall Posted by Menphyel7, Mon Apr-02-12 03:37 PM
work yet. Loved it.
|
2680832, pl3dge ROCKED. yeah, might be my favorite killer mike album. Posted by k0la, Mon Apr-02-12 07:19 PM
i like the original mix of "swimming" a little more, but i'm glad they did something sort of new for a previously released track.
|
2680929, RE: pl3dge ROCKED. yeah, might be my favorite killer mike album. Posted by Goose, Mon Apr-02-12 11:13 PM
you got a link to the OG?
I liked the version on the album, but i felt like it was sort of an odd ball, but it still worked as the closer.

2680923, Okay this album is going to be fucking ridiculous Posted by Stevie Lee, Mon Apr-02-12 10:59 PM
I've listened to the leaked songs more than almost anything else this year, and all of the snippets from that listening party sounded just as good or even better.
Just copped the vinyl on UGHH...$28, but it comes with a "bonus album" and instrumental downloads too.

have been released.
This is five for this album, and C4C officially has three.
|
2692391, does it matter these days? Posted by cereffusion, Sun Apr-29-12 11:42 AM
im just going to listen on spotify
although these are two I might cop. The only actual CDs I've bought in the past few years are el-p and scissor sisters.
|
2692420, For me, I'm refraining from listening to too much... Posted by Avarice, Sun Apr-29-12 02:31 PM
Just because I want to be able to digest as much new music as I can when I cop.
From a business perspective, it probably doesn't matter.

2692337, southern fried is fiya Posted by bucknchange, Sun Apr-29-12 01:27 AM

>killer one of the best out right now. i still get why he >wasn't @ coachella. >
He has been for years. I've been checking for him since I first heard him on Stankonia. He's been dropping dope music since the first Pledge album (Monster had some good tracks mixed with the bad).
He's really only recently been getting the respect he deserves for the work he's put in. Hopefully this album will cement his spot amongst the best doing it in hip-hop at the moment.
|
2692374, I'm not listening to no more tracks til the album come out Posted by Menphyel7, Sun Apr-29-12 09:59 AM
