Please just let them know that they made some long time fans very happy. This album is so good I went out and bought 2 more copies yesterday for friends... one called me last night raving about how good this shit is.

The more I listen to this album the better it gets. I'm going to have to bump my rating up from an 8 to 9.5 ... even Trendin and Lifestyle are working for me now. Only reason i'm not going to give it a 10 is this album gives me faith they might be on an upswing and could do even better with another one lol. I think the problem some folks had (me included) is they really didn't know what they wanted from a new Time album. Had they just dropped a bunch of by the numbers classic sounding Time jams I don't think we'd have really been all that satisfied in the long run. What they did with this thing is pretty damn impressive when you sit down and let it marinate. The fellas have seamlessly merged the Time sound with various styles and genres... even more they each brought their solo sounds into the mix. Take a song like Lifestyle (which i kinda passed over when the album first dropped) in one song you have that classic "dreamy" Jam & Lewis production on top of a modern sounding R&B track with a splash of Jesse's "I Want My Girl" synths thrown in for good measure. In context I can't even be mad at what they did with Trendin now.

The album is simply brilliant imo... in fact this may become somewhat of a litmus test for me. If you can't find this thing at least somewhat enjoyable I don't think we should ever be discussing music again... we're clearly looking for different things if you can't feel this.

The boys did good... even better than I first thought. We just didn't know what we wanted... but more importantly they did.
