well, 'tons' may be overstating, but there are a few bands I like a lot.

The Boom is just about my favorite band, and their early stuff is very ska-flavored with some folky overtones. Later on they began mixing in all kinds of stuff, which is my favorite period, but they might be worth a try.

Kusu Kusu was another, more or less completely forgotten in Japan, band from the early '90s that mixed ska with an international (especially Congolese and Brazilian) vibe. Records are very up and down but their good stuff is great.
