To go from a low level crack dealer/ sideman for a marginally successful rapper to being one of the biggest/most respected acts ever IS the come up of a lifetime.
Not only that, but it's not like he could have gone the LL (and to a lesser extent Nelly) route and started rapping for the girls to get big. He's a goofy looking, kinda awkward ass dude who still managed to become the biggest Rap star ever
Marrying Beyonce played a big part in all it.
