2549570, Rappers that need to make more music
Posted by LES, Mon May-16-11 04:44 PM
Wtf Its 2011 and Fam-Lay only has 2 mixtapes to his name? No albums due to label politics. With his ear for beats his talent for reckless drug talk its a shame. His last mixtape Dirtyway didnt even drop

http://media.thefader.com/thefader/warmusic.mp3
I wonder if he's just content to be hype man for NERD?

This is a stretch because Micah James first (and only) mixtape came out in 2009 but it feels like he's disappeared since then

http://micahjames.bandcamp.com/
I hope he's working on something new. I still bump Agoraphobia and get chills

I think I have a half dozen songs from this guy, the oldest of which is from seven years ago. I know Def Jux hasn't been in the best shape in the last few years but there's not reason this dude hasn't put out something, even if it's just a mixtape.

And has anyone seen this dude live? He stays touring, I'm trying to figure out what sort of live show he could have, his whole catalog is about a half hour long.

did he ever drop a 2nd solo...his first he seem to release an ass of sogns and was overbloated but I figured since he waited so long I could understand.

I was really looking forward to what he would do with an 2nd album.

not strictly a rapper per se but
i was thinking about this when i saw her on j.fal the other night (even though it wasnt a particularly great performance)
she should have been putting out records every other year for the past 13.
what kind of catalogue would we be looking at right now?? im sure there would be some questionable shit in there, but i would wager that the gems would be all over the place. we all missed out.

2558636, Did You Ever Peep Her Last Album?
Posted by Dj Joey Joe, Fri Jun-10-11 07:21 AM
She put out an album back in 2008 in Australia titled "Good Rap Music", I think Dwele had produced one or tracks off of it, the rest was done by some Australian kats, production was nice, laid back but would've got better promotion if it wasn't an import.

http://www.amazon.com/Good-Rap-Music-Bahamadia/dp/B000GH3A6I/ref=sr_1_5?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1307708390&sr=1-5

2558645, Yes I did, and I really dug it, but wasn't it released in '06 ?

Anyway, I need more music from her.
2558640, Akinyele
Posted by Dj Joey Joe, Fri Jun-10-11 07:26 AM
I'm still an Akinyele fan even though I never cared for all the sex type songs he has been popular for after he did "Put It In Your Mouth", his first album "Vagina Diner" is a classic, and I dug the last album he put out which was a collection of old & unreleased material ( http://www.undergroundhiphop.com/store/detail.asp?t=Akinyele-Live-At-The-Barbecue-The-Lost-Classics-Audio-CD&UPC=EC005CD ) but he needs to put out more material, get back to spitting that hard shit that he's nice at doing, having a few tracks produced by Large Professor and J-Zone would be dope.

You can't tell me you wouldn't want to hear more joints like these:

"In The Zone": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcMjI_a62qw
