The strings on that album are so great. And they couldn't have been implemented at a better point since the sound the group was known for was gone for good.

Wishful Thinkin' brought me to tears when I first heard it. That's some shit that doesn't happen.


Sure this album isn't a part of that classic run (Stand/Greatest Hits/TARGO/Fresh) but there's still some heat on it:

Say You Will
Time For Livin'
Can't Strain My Brain
Loose Booty(!!!!)

This album is good.


And yes, I'm avoid that talk about Stand....Stand is perfect. Even with Sex Machine in there it is perfect and the most complete album by THE BAND. Of course Sly will be more notorious for TARGO but Sly and the Fam's apex was actually Stand.
