i bought illidelph after hearing julio g (92.3 the beat) play the next movement on the 9 o'clock bomb. after bumping illidelph for 2 weeks, i found out the roots had another release. i rode by bike to blockbuster, and bought the cd. went home, and started playing DYWM on my grandmothers' stereo. it was so different from just about any hip hop i'd ever heard before. i've probably bought DYWM 10 times. bought it again in philly when i went last year.

now, midnight marauders, let the rhythm hit 'em, illmatic, and resurrection are all CLOSE, but DYWM will always be my favorite music album of all time.
