This is part of the reason why it's so painful for me to listen to Common these days. He either got lazy, or tried to dumb down for his audience to double his dollars...and still failed. His delivery is slow as shit, his punchlines don't really hit anymore, and his spirituality and insights are not as sophisticated as he thinks they are...some of it sounds like 8th grade poetry to me.
