Not for nuthin but can I ask who's in your top 10? I've always ask because one of the key things that keeps Just outta my top 10 is he's never produced a whole album for someone and to me that's KEY to be in my top 10. There are a lot of GREAT producers that are good for a dope song here and there but to me it's something special about a dude who cannot only produce a whole album for an artist but a DOPE album for an artist. Most producers who are in cat's top 10 are the RZA's, Pete Rock's, Primo's, Dilla's, Large Professor's, Timbaland's, Kanye's...and the thing they ALL have in common is they not only have produced a whole album for artists...don't know, but that keeps Just outta my top 10...

the way he flips samples is ridiculous. i've run across several samples he uses and just sit there confused as to how he flipped it...

prime example: supertramp's crime of the century for "breathe"... that flip is just too ill.

and that's not even mentioning his drum game which has always been fuego.

Good point fam...I think I've let him not producing a whole album keep him out my top 10 but you are right, Just has put in A LOT of work over the past 12 years...

Top 10 hiphop producers - surely in that bracket - I just need to hear him produce more albums (like Saigon) from end to end - would really like to hear a 10 cut jay/just album - to figure out his "place" on that list..

As much as I would LOVE a Jay Electronica album produced by a "focused" (that's a key word) Just Blaze...I don't it will happen...seems like there was some hoopla around Jay signing with Jay and it's obvious that Just has been missing from any new Jay z music, so who knows...
