Pete Rock and Q-Tip were funky, but I'm sure they'll BOTH tell you that their minds were blown when they heard Dilla's stuff for the first time. I could write a book on this (as could many others on this site), but I thought it was obvious by now. He was using the MPC3000 like nobody else.
