Do you think the depth of the black experience can't come from alternatives from the black male archetype?
Are you thinking that by depth of blackness I mean covers all the depth that blackenss is. Cause that's not it. I mean that goes deeper than just the surface into what it means to be a black male. Black definitively, not post-racial black.
Matana Roberts is a clear alternate to the black female archtypes of today and her music is an embodiment of what it means to be black.
