I stole this "theory" from a Chuck Klosterman piece on the Darkness, but for some reason, the American public needs to know if you're serious or joking and there can't be an inbetween. I think he is serious, and I think he's also "in on the joke." I love him for that. Like does it matter if he's serious or joking or whatnot? I don't think it is.

I feel like we all just don't want to be "had." Like "shit he was fucking with us and we fell for it." Instead of "fuck it, that's a hot jam."
