I don't know the beak album(s) although I've seen it(them); assumed it was some indie rock thing which is a faulty tendency of mine in general.

I also would like to be more familiar with krautrock in general - I know the main names and artists and I enjoy things I've heard but just haven't gone down all the way down the road yet.

I did buy this Kluster set a few years ago which has three of their albums (maybe the only ones in that incarnation?): http://www.amazon.com/Kluster-1970-1971/dp/B0015X6RL2/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1358316159&sr=1-1&keywords=kluster

I like this Kluster set for being a little more experimental/electronic, while some of what I gather about Krautrock in general, correctly or not, is that it can be closer to psychedelic rock and I feel like I might have to be in a particular mood --- thinking here of Amun Duul (sp?) or Ash Ra Tempel. I think I have heard Can in mumu that I liked, and by appearances I think I would probably like Tangerine Dream. Just have to get around to it someday, when I do it will probably be a lot at once.
