...is a pretty good example. I like that album a lot, but when it came out I thought, this is some nice guitar work, but here it's all about the songs. Then the next two records came out, and he started doing the blues trio thing, and I was like, whoa--this dude's kind of a monster on the six-string.

You didn't hear that on "Room for Squares," which was probably a wise choice, because long, scorching guitar solos don't generate a lot of radio play. But yeah, turns out he's a mutha on his axe.
