2697696, Has there been a Kilo Kish conversation?

So I see ol girl is on the cover of The Voice This Week. I was a little confused how she got the cover. Then I started to see that basics of engineering the next big 'independent' thing. She has an EP with some production from Syd Da Kid. Her first show had some well known artist in attendance and she has a few songs sprinkled with other soon to be known artists. Still how she managed to get the cover of Voice when there's actually an article about Rufus Wainwright who has a male finance in the same paper (right during the height of an election year and the conversation about gay marriage is wild heavy); idk. I listened wasn't overly impressed. Honestly I don't relate to the majority of the material and I'm a male of thirty, so I that could possibly have something to do with it. But not relating to the material has nothing to do with what I think of the content and how its delivered. Some of the songs sound cool. She's singing a couple and I'm a lil on teh fence with that. It's reminiscent of almost a Kid Cudi in it's sorta monotone fashion.

Anyway not to take anything away from the young champion, I'm just kinda like seriously Voice you're on it too. Part of the machine to churn out the 'next' big thing. There used to be a good reason for a lesser known artist to be on the cover. Like they actually did something substantial and had an interesting story. Her story is she started rapping as a joke and... Well she doesn't really have one is my point and they were reporting on her very first show... Oh well...
