there are hundreds of thousands of grassroots orgs and other activists chipping away at every tiny hurdle in every possibly way every single day...this is work that is largely unseen by the general public, which is good because that's what gives it power

i keep telling y'all that politics is local. and in a country that's really more like a continent w/50 different countries, alot of work is being done on the ground in the thousands of local municipalities that will never make to the national cable news desk.

i'm not sayin this to convey hope, because 'we're screwed' isn't a future thing..we're already in it, we've already experienced it, so it's never not been that...its a just the latest way.

lastly, if you're concerned truly, then find the folks that are locally doing 'the work', align with them and support them. that's it.

but yes, of course, get in where you fit in...go see the rest of the world. explore, connect, eat, discuss, wander...all those things are important

forget what you think the western world owes you. your mortgage and 401k and health plans and 220k+/year salary, and your stocks and IRA are only real because a fake, fragile system tells you it is. but it can go away at any time. just like you and your fragile human body.
