13524570, Anyone watching Welcome to Derry?
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Jan-06-26 01:08 PM
This shit is wild af.

I had to turn it off a few times and watch an old episode of Martin before going to bed.

I’m loving the Black folk in this story tho. Gotdamn that man’s wife is so fine.

Anyway, only on episode 4 but I fux with it.
13524572, It's pretty good. Dark AF too.

No spoilers, but there's one scene that really had me messed-up emotionally. It involves fire.

Really hoping they greenlight a season 2.

Edit: And yeah, I love all the Black people up in the show.
13524574, They’re good to go for seasons 2 and 3.

I can't really come up with too many complaints. If so, they'd be really minor.

The expansion of the "IT" movies is a pretty dope concept, and getting to spread it out over multiple seasons gives them a lot of space to get it off.

I can't say I was familiar with the concept before "True Detective", but it seems like HBO has tried to add in the "time is a flat circle" concept in a lot of their shows, like this, "Lovecraft Country", and "Watchmen".

Taylour Paige is finer than life, but the accent seemed like a bit of a challenge for her. I watched all of "Interview With a Vampire" last year and the Southern accent really beat the shit out of both girls that played Claudia.
13524577, I love Dick in this

PAUSE

When they said Dick Halloran I was like wait... old boy from The Shining???

The actor does the character very well. Graphics and story line are great. Different angle on the story vs. the movie, I wonder if it's more in line with Stephen King's vision
13524933, really dug it. not something i'd normally watch. but them commercials

was interesting. (i never saw the IT movie or anything).

that was interesting. i was mad at damn near every character at some point.

there were some legit shocking scenes in there, on some "no y'all didn't!"

are they going to do another season, or leave it as a one off?

peace & blessings,

x.

I'm an advocate for working smarter, not harder. If you just
focus on working hard you end up making someone else rich and
not having much to show for it. (c) mad
13524936, 2 more seasons, going backwards in time.

To the build up and explosions of PW's other times he has fucked over the town of Derry. The Bradley Gang Massacre and a factory explosion.
