(c) little girl on Doc.

that commercial takes me out.

(off topic reference is still PtP relevant, because Doc is the american remake of the british Doc Martin series that just premiered).

peace & blessings,

I think I deleted the post by accident while I was trying to delete a duplicate reply

and instead of clicking on the reply I clicked on the original thread.

I just refreshed the thread and was like wtf?

13524172, How much are you spending on monthly subscriptions?
Posted by AbdulJaleel, Mon Dec-15-25 06:47 PM
I think around $70 a month

Sora/ChatGPT
Firefly
Adobe Creative Cloud

I’d like to optimize my workflow and quit OpenAI all together
13524198, I predict that AI is gonna be the death of current social media
Posted by flipnile, Tue Dec-16-25 04:42 PM
Platforms are gonna be absolutely flooded with AI crap within a few years. That's gonna drown-out the personal attention-seeking that people use the platforms for. Also gonna make everything questionable (is this AI?). Might lead to something better, but is probably gonna be something worse.
13524242, I hope rising prices will cut back on AI Slop
Posted by Buddy_Gilapagos, Thu Dec-18-25 02:51 PM
Like I see so many dumb videos and pictures and I think are making them only because it's free. Eventually they are all going to start charging for everything and that will help a bit.

I also think the Social Media websites will need to start providing AI Filters. Like AI has damn near ruining Pinterest but I think they are starting to label or allow you to filter out AI content.

13524243, I hope so too. The first few AI cat videos were cute...

After the first few I saw, not so much.

Yeah, this seems like it should be a top priority for social sites. I didn't even touch on people using AI for nefarious reasons (like impersonating someone, or fake videos to slander someone, rewrite history, etc.)

I know.. people do it all the time but I still think its mad dangerous to one day have self driving cars everywhere. Once someone hacks the system it will be a disaster.

A few weeks later, a Waymo taxi hits & kills a dog:

RIP KitKat & Doggie
13524275, I can only blame myself for deleting the waymo glaze in the old thread
Posted by Rjcc, Sun Dec-21-25 03:44 PM
but that glaze being posted literally days before Waymo's blocked traffic across san francisco because the power went out

IS HILARIOUS TO ME
