Bitwarden is great and the free plan will probably cover 90% of what you need it to do. Paid plan ($1/mo, but billed as $10 annual) is affordable and will also enable you to use it as a 2FA authenticator
Another popular option is 1password, which is paid $3/mo
Aegis is probably the best 2FA on Android, and is free
Maybe just avoid Authy and LastPass as they've had security issues recently

13515002, Authenticator? make sure to have a backup device; Password Manager? Posted by nonaime, Sat Dec-14-24 10:31 AM
Some offer bells and whistles that aren't necessary to create and store secure passwords/passphrases;other than that, you're talking about commodity security applications (as far as most people are concerned / care).
But it's more about how you use them as a user than anything else. Use a strong master passphrase, use 2fa,jack up the iteration count (there should be a security option to do this)...and have a plan to monitor and change passwords when (not if) your solution gets hacked (but the pros outweighs this risk)

Bitwarden to randomly generate the password and google sheets to store the password both are free.

13515327, for work we always used keepass Posted by Effa, Sat Dec-21-24 01:52 PM
because the cloud was a dirty word. now we use 1password and i dont like it. yea it auto fills etc but it will totally butcher URLS and its more work to fix then just taking the extra steps with keepass.
i would just try all the free ones if you aren't worried about security.

13515331, start by ditching android Posted by FLUIDJ, Sun Dec-22-24 01:44 PM
I use apple's password app on my Mac and Surface Pro. not sure if it's available for android yet.
If you can't ditch android, Google's password manager app is decent.

Samsung phones made me leave apple..i also love the Pixel phones but i've fallen out of love with Google. I'm looking to de-Google my life
we're doing this at my job so if its successful, i'll do it personally too.
