I'm extremely happy for Mike. 20+ years since his first win.. with Andre (and Big Boi). Now, he won it with Dre again. I also love how Outkast got him through the door with a Grammy, and now he's sorta paying it forward thro Eryn Allen Kane. Very well deserved.

I wouldn't be too worried about the "arrest".. He knows his rights. He will be okay. I just hate that they had to ruin his night and try to dull his shine. Hopefully, a lot more people hear the album and give his discography a chance because of all this.

I think the overall issue is that Killer Mike has made no secret about wanting a seat at the table of power (especially in Georgia), sees being a capitalistic force will help get him there, and thus has made some mistakes in pursuit of that end. Like not supporting Stacey Abrahams. And bigging up Kemp.

Full disclosure: I thought "Michael" was the best album of 2023 and "deserved" to win the Grammys.

I would have gone Nas but think him putting out all those albums back to back and winning with KD1 hurt, hard to remember which songs are which but KD3 might be the best of them.
