SOmeone else said it online but the Baby Boomers and their parents the Holocaust was part of their living memory so they give/gave lots of leeway to how Israelis run that part of the world. It has Biden saying dumb shit like "No Jewish Person is safe in the world if Israel is threatened" or something like that recently.

But the Holocaust is really a distant history lesson for Gen Z and what they see is colonialism and an occupied apartheid state (not without good reason).

I think Israel is going to mess around and win the battle and lose the war by removing all the Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank and will get to claim all that land but be surrounded by enemies who will blame them for a genocide. Not a good place to be over a long period (talking in terms of centuries) of time.
