that she ever encouraged me to do more reaching out is because she didn’t want it to get to this point where we are at today, where I have to go through somebody else in order to be in contact with him. And I see that! According to my aunt, my dad is so far gone that he can’t talk on the phone anymore.

Also, I still haven’t received a call back so I think it’s pretty safe to say I’m never gonna get one from anybody in that household. I expect the next thing I hear about him will just be that he’s gone, and that probably will come from my aunt.
