13487704, probably, unless they have the same name as my mom Posted by tariqhu, Thu Jun-29-23 12:46 PM
or sister.

13487727, I linked up with someone with the same name as my sister Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Jun-29-23 02:55 PM
she didn’t look or act like my sister

13487739, I should clarify. the name can indicate a time frame. Posted by tariqhu, Thu Jun-29-23 05:43 PM
in my head, if I'm dating someone with my mom's name, that means she's too old for me.
Same with my sister because she's way younger. She's in her 20's.

13487737, I do think it's weird Posted by mista k5, Thu Jun-29-23 05:31 PM
I don't know that I would avoid dating someone but it would give me pause. I've wondered if it's just me being weird or if there are others that feel the same.
Saw a post on reddit with someone asking this and looked like most people there agreed it would be weird. Had to see how people felt about it here lol
To me Mom and Sis are big no's but I also think it would be weird if I dated someone that had the same name as a sister in law. Plus it would just get confusing in conversation lol
I think sister would be the most awkward just cause I never call my mom by her name but same as mom still feel really weird to me.
In the end I probably would but I'd hope they had a middle name they liked lol or I'd come up with a nickname for them.

13487756, i only think its weird if it happens more than once.. lol Posted by legsdiamond, Fri Jun-30-23 07:45 AM
you might have a fetish
but if I met a woman with a phatty and a nice face and she had my sisters name that would not stop me at all.
call her by a nickname.
I would think a dude is scared of the puss if a name stopped him from pursuing some ass

13487776, imagine someone who ONLY dates someone with the same name Posted by mista k5, Fri Jun-30-23 09:29 AM
lol
Some people in that post said they dated someone with the same name as their sibling and they actually looked like their sibling lol

otherwise, would not have thought it to be a big deal, back when I was dating.
