Is she having a laparoscopic surgery or is it open? I had an open Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass in 2000 and it was very tiring to recover.

Weight loss can definitely help managing type 2 diabetes, it's a good stragey.

I hope she does okay.

Wishing you and her good luck.
My doctor, who is head of weight loss in our hospital system, thinks these GLP-1 agonists are the future of diabetes management and weight loss management.
Just curious, I'm on WeGovy (Ozempic is the same drug, just a different name) and I'm wondering if her physician considered putting her on Ozempic or Mounjaro for diabetes with the benefit of weight loss?
