1) She voted in the last meeting by proxy, and seven people have been advanced out of committee. (tho admittedly she can only vote on people for whom she won't be a deciding vote)

2) My argument is that we don't need to take on right wing talking points and we need to remain united. I haven't said whether I think she's too old or not, but if she is, the time to have that conversation was in 2018 when she was up for reelection, not now.

3) SHE OFFERED TO TEMPORARILY STEP DOWN FROM THE COMMITTEE! Why isn't the ire on the fucking Republicans who refuse to seat a replacement, and not on the person recovering from a health issue? It's annoying as hell to act as if Republicans have no agency or sense of responsibility towards the office they serve, and only Democrats have to be the responsible party.

4) I am hesitant to place blame on sick people. Jamie Raskin has cancer and has been lucky enough to work through it, but if he wasn't, do we immediately demand he retires too? We have to have reasonable demands that go for all people.

5) Just like I said earlier, if she resigns and we get a replacement for her, I don't trust that the Republicans will seat her replacement on the committee. We'd still be in the same damn place.

5) Lastly, and probably most importantly, she's already announced she's going to retire. Biden has been killing the judicial appointments, and a temporary slowage doesn't take away from what has already been accomplished and what we can reasonably expect to get done with a small amount of bipartisanship (even with these GOP savages).
