13478066, Pretty Dope - Love How They Laid the Foundation Posted by Thee Phantom, Sat Feb-04-23 11:47 AM And gave the NYC backdrop, political and musical landscape, leading up to the development of Hip-Hop. Could've added a few things, but I was definitely pleased. A lot of folks from outside/new to the culture swear it was West Side Story and everyone was happily dancing in the streets.
