got jammed up during the trump administration.
if pootybear wasnt tryna give his fan trump some good election year pr and let whelan go home...then you know russia aint really tryna work anything out for him lol.
biden addressed it a bit in his comments. he said russia views the cases very differently (they classify whelan as espionage). so they are much less likely to negotiate his release.
