from that type of shit as possible. I was definitely not about that life coming up but I had friends that I had known since elementary school that were. Whenever I was around them and there was potential for shit to go down they'd be like "Aye Truth you need to get the fuck out of here because shit about get real". We'd all be riding in the car together and they'd be like "we need to drop you off because we're about to go do some shit and we know your parents don't play lol". My family was mostly known as scholar/athlete/Christians and they were more scared of what my family would do to me and them if they got me caught up in some bullshit.
