I have a feeling that over the next 10 years Tesla will be much less attractive because of the incoming competition.
Maybe the Inflation Reduction Act's tax credits will help, but people are going to buy Toyota and Hondas and Chevy's more and more. They don't go 0-60 in under 5 seconds, but they cost a lot less.
Example: The model 3 retails in the HIGH 40s now, was theoretically in the mid 30s before. And it averages more like mid 50s. (BMW and Volvo are much cheaper.)
The Y's are in the mid to high 60s and then others are over 100k.
With all the talk (before the election) about CRUSHING INFLATION and the upcoming DEMOCRAT DEPRESSION it's not surprising that people aren't spending $50k+ on a car right now.
Maybe: Add that the owner is a right wing loon who CONTSTANTLY SHOUTS about culture wars - you pick up some new buyers but probably more net buyers. But Teslas are going to be more and more niche.
