Nowhere does the indicate that she needs him to tell her the purpose. She simply said she wants to cotinue the conversation, and urges him to do so as well.
Sure, that's naive and gullible, considering it's Kanye. She chose the wrong side, etc. But that's no reason to just make up shit. Telling the truth about this situation should give you the desired effect.
