The thing survives off programmed key words from tech dweebs with no imagination .. it doesn’t even source from an art database, just whatever will feed the algorithm.

To me, in this case, this software is the art.
Some developer took their knowledge of things and created something that can create something else
Conceptually that’s beautiful
In practice this software is a piece of shit
It’s a reverse Captcha machine posing as something else

at its core....at least as I understand it(conceding that I may be waaaaay off base in my understanding).....at it's core it's merely an automated database aggregator of publicly available imagery....imagery that WE(the human population) created.

And in those filters they would do amazing (at the time) things
They could turn regular degular pictures into the style of Warhol or the style of Lich or the style of Van Gogh
But there’s no money in that … so they either went the pay route and died or got their IP bought about by the same data hoarding capaitlist that want nothing more than to sell ad space and package the end user as another product to be sold
Another eyeball
They did this by developing algorithms around views, keywords, and indexed hashtags
What you see here is old tech being applied in a different way with none of the care and concern of anything worth calling art
In 5 to 10 years this same tech will be used in the same way to “randomly” generate a virtual experience in the form of immersion or avatars … but the creative aspect of it died 15 years ago
There’s no money in creating, there’s money in IP
So now even the software is shitty and no longer art … this is legitimately just reverse Captcha

if they send them at the same time. i imagine a month apart or so would give different results but if youre sitting side by side and hit send at the same time does it give both the same 4 images or do you each get 4 different ones?
