in spite of the whole "you know that 'goofy white guy' everyone from richard pryor to eddie murphy has been making fun of for the past 20 years....surprise! he's suddenly an incredible basketball player beating all black players in this movie!" thing? (also it's written by same guy that did Bull Durham?)
i'll say your point is also validated by woody still losing in the end
