her last album was fantastic
13459484, she DEFINITELY don't have enough fans or get enough respect/mention.

13459485, I love “Sometimes I might be Introvert”
Posted by DJR, Tue May-03-22 04:21 PM
One of my favorite albums of 2021. I need to listen to her other stuff more.
13459501, My favorite rap album of 2021, period.
Posted by Frank Longo, Tue May-03-22 06:21 PM
Really dug her previous album too. She's absolutely one of the best doing it.
13459519, I respect it
Posted by DJR, Tue May-03-22 08:23 PM
Evidence’s album really hit me hard and was easily my number 1. Loved that Tanya Morgan too - always relate to them.

A couple standout Griselda releases(HWH 8, and Bo Jackson), Lute(another one I related to majorly), and the ones that were new to me and blew me away: Topaz Jones and Little Simz. So for me, it’s battling for top 3.

13459488, Can someone convince me in like 5 songs?
Posted by Buddy_Gilapagos, Tue May-03-22 04:32 PM
Also its got to be discounted because of the British Accent. Rap ain't supposed to sound like that...And I like Dave.

13459525, this is dope as hell...gonna check her out
Posted by mikediggz, Tue May-03-22 09:15 PM
13459528, it reminded me of an early Kanye song
Posted by DJR, Tue May-03-22 09:22 PM
And I generally loved early Kanye, so that was the first one on the album that had me stuck and repeating it over and over. The album was really good overall IMO.
13459530, that was my first thought exactly...preciate the tip
Posted by mikediggz, Tue May-03-22 09:25 PM
13459498, No argument here. Her and Sampa the Great are crushing buildings.
Posted by Castro, Tue May-03-22 05:53 PM
13459527, lmao… I cant do UK rappers
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue May-03-22 09:17 PM
Monie Love is the only one.

They have ruined so many dope ass songs on spotify radio

ole tea and crumpet ass flow.

13459529, did slick ricks flow throw u off
Posted by mikediggz, Tue May-03-22 09:23 PM
13459621, shit.. totally forgot about the Ruler
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed May-04-22 02:24 PM
One of my favorites but he was more melodic with it.

Walk with me for a second. I think Monie and Slick Rick had a much faster flow than these nee UK rappers. It worked..

I was sittin on my lunch break grittin my teeth
its the last day of the week boy what a relief
my muscles kinda ached I felt rigid and stiff
so a looked around then I smoked a big fat spliff
now I’m happy as can be and in a (forgot words) head spell
put the visene in my eyes so that no one can tell…

these new UK rappers fucking up songs be on some

it was a wednesday
bloke stepped on my shoes when we walked down the pathway
he wants gunplay
touch the curry my plate be buried by sunday

its very mad, sad, glad, bad flow and I can’t fuck with it. I have deleted some dope ass somgs because a UK rapper showed up at the 2 minute mark.

they all seem to be rhyming 4 bars at a time. Shit sounds like this

13459649, lol yeah i asked u that because from what i can tell we from the same
Posted by mikediggz, Wed May-04-22 04:33 PM
generation and i dont recall anyone ever saying anythg against the ruler so i was wondering if his accent was off putting for you. hell truth be told dana dane got some hits and he was faking the accent tryin to sound like rick if i remember right.

i was cool with monie she had a few hits...def had skills plus she was with a dope crew which didnt hurt. honestly im not really familiar with any new school UK rappers but lil sims didnt sound bad (at least she can rhyme compared to alot of these young rappers) to me plus the track was pretty dope.

13459636, Have you checked out her Sometimes I Might Be Introvert album?
Posted by mista k5, Wed May-04-22 03:33 PM
I didn't love her album before this one but Sometimes I Might Be Introvert is great.

I also have a hard time with most UK rappers because of their accent but that's not a problem on this album, or I think really with Little Simz as a whole.

Dave on the other hand...
13487645, i'm usually the same, but Simz is legit
Posted by ternary_star, Wed Jun-28-23 03:29 PM
she goes hard and has more of an american-style production and lyricism
13459534, Her last album is ridiculously good.
Posted by Nabs, Tue May-03-22 09:34 PM
13459671, It’s very good

I don't speak to provoke. I speak because I think our time is short and each moment that we are not our truest selves, and we say what we do not mean because we imagine that is what somebody wants us to say, is wasting our time on this Earth - C. Adichie
13459634, finally listened to the Introvert album
Posted by Johnny, Wed May-04-22 03:25 PM
really really good. I slept for too long. going to check her other one soon
13459638, I had never heard of her before "Sometimes I Might Be Introvert"
Posted by Marbles, Wed May-04-22 03:38 PM

But I need to check out the rest of her material. Because "SIMBI" is easily one of the best albums of 2021, IMO.
