13459236, i mean i thought they did some interesting things Posted by Mynoriti, Sat Apr-30-22 01:52 PM
on cultural divides or the connection between Bash and Sylvia vs Bash and his parents. they seemed to not view Sylvia as fully fleshed person, even though she's essentially doing *their* job. only getting to know things about her through tragedy, and her funeral. and in a sense getting to know their own son. The way Bash hit all the church queues was such a great touch. Also the sacrifice of Sylvia's own family to raise these white kids, including Chet Hanks, who is basically future Bash if she doesn't die.
i thought there were some cool things, but I just don't think it was good enough to justify pulling us away from the main group again. i didn't really feel that with the other 2 short story episodes
