I think its more of white folks thinking its been so long how could they actually connect us to slavery.
Its the old “I never owned slaves” response.
What I liked about it was the shame. Like “eww, Brad’s family had slaves.. that’s so racist”
What I didn’t get was the “100% Nordic? How can that be!!??” was she mad because she thought she was something else?
