it allows commonly used English words that happen to have been stolen from French

there are ALOT of english words/phrases that are really just french words

lieu = place ..like when we say "in lieu of"
souvenir = to remember
memoir = memory
cache = hidden
rendevouz = appointment
R.S.V.P. = respondez s'il vous plait or "respond please" in English

there are a ton more...close to 30% of "english" words are french words

English is barely a real language cuz so many words are taken from others
