and nothing on here is hitting like "Suede" or "King James" to me... or even The Chase
The instrumentation is more complex with Silk Sonic, but unfortunately that doesn't solely equal better songs. I personally like how Paak's music mostly sounds fresh and has a personality of it's own. Whereas most of The Lesson called Silk Sonic "too polished", I tend to just think it sounds like artists painting by numbers inside the lines of what came before them.
It's all opinions tho.*shrug*
