the media has pretty much abandoned its commitment to an informed democracy.

not too long ago...they were bullying the cdc and the biden administration for saying that vaccinated people should still wear masks in public. they said the admin was sending out the wrong message conflicting with whatever arbitrary incentives they thought people should have for getting the shot. and the admin caved and told unvaccinated folks to take the masks off.

then delta came through fucking shit up and we had to throw the masks back on and the media never even offered a mea culpa or did any introspection. and they went back to hitting biden on 'spiking the ball too early' and not getting covid under control.

the media might not be the enemy of the people but they sure aint an ally.
